Healthcare can be costly, but keep in mind that most people in New Hampshire who enroll in a marketplace plan qualify for subsidies that lower the cost of their monthly premiums by an average of $338 per month‡. Visit our shopping portal to see if you’re eligible for subsidies or cost-share reductions that can significantly lower your out-of-pocket costs. Review the plan's service area.
Many plans are only offered in specific geographical areas. WellSense Clarity plans are available to residents of Belknap, Strafford, Merrimack, Hillsborough and Rockingham counties in New Hampshire.
Check if your providers and prescriptions are covered.
Each plan's provider directory will indicate if your preferred doctors are in-network, and the list of covered drugs (sometimes called a formulary) will tell you if your drugs are covered and how much your prescriptions will cost.
Estimate your total cost.
Your total cost includes the premium (the amount you'll pay each month) plus out-of-pocket costs for medical services, which include cost sharing charges such as deductibles, coinsurance and copayments.
