Find out what services are covered
Your benefit documents outline all of the covered and non-covered services for your plan. In some cases you will need prior approval before a service will be covered. You or your doctor can confirm if the service requires a prior authorization. When in doubt, please call and ask us before you get a service. We don't want you to receive a surprise bill.
If you want to know how much a service costs, you can estimate the cost of common treatments with this tool. You can also read about your rights and protections against surprise medical billing.
Take advantage of your member extras
1. Register for the WellSense member portal
The member portal is where you can find your benefit information, pay your plan's premium, and log details about your doctor’s appointments. To create an account once your membership is active, you’ll need the Member ID number that’s on your member ID card.
2. Schedule your free wellness visits
If you haven’t already, now is a great time to make an appointment with your primary care provider (PCP) to get your free yearly checkup. Having a yearly exam with your PCP is an important step to getting the most out of your healthcare. During this exam, your doctor will check your overall health, recommend tests if any are needed, and address any health concerns you may have. If you don’t know who your PCP is, you can find their information in your member portal or by calling us at 855-833-8122 (TTY: 711).

3. Learn about your pharmacy benefit
Your pharmacy benefit includes coverage for thousands of medications. See if your medications are on the list and find out what they cost. If you take maintenance medications, you may be able to have them mailed to your home as part of our mail order pharmacy program.
4. Understand your costs
Health insurance helps you pay for part of your medical bills and provides free preventive care, like annual checkups. It is important that the services you receive are covered by us. A covered service means that we would pay for part of that service but not necessarily all. To see which services we cover, check your benefit documents which will also tell you what share of the total expense you can expect to pay. The actual cost of a service may vary depending on what doctor or hospital you use.
5. Take advantage of your member extras
As a NH Clarity plan member, you have access to extra benefits that cover your whole health. Plans provide perks including a 24/7 nurse advice line, help treating chronic conditions and support for emotional and social needs.
6. Complete your health survey
Once your membership is active, you'll be able to take the health survey. Your answers help us to provide you with personalized support if you need it. After we review your responses, we may follow-up to offer you free programs that can help improve your health.
